Macrame Wall Hangings & Plant Hangers

I was inspired to get into modern Macrame by one of our daughters who wanted me to make Macrame wall hangings and plant hangers for her bedroom.

Fortunately, I had kept my Macrame books from the 1980’s, and was able to find other resources and ideas online, and also from books given to me.

Around that time I also injured my back. Not one to enjoy being idle for too long, I was grateful to discover that Macrame was a craft I could comfortably do standing up. Once I started, I enjoyed it so much, I couldn’t stop (even long after my back had recovered). I found that Macrame is such a relaxing and rewarding craft because it gives a finished product much bigger in scale than most of the other crafts I do.

I support an Australian Manufacturer and source my Macrame yarn from Industrial Yarns Pty Ltd in Melbourne. They make wonderful fibres.

They make such a lovely statement to the decor of your home or space. This lovely piece hangs in The Barn here on Piney Ridge Farm in our gorgeous Bed & Breakfast space.
