This Policy has been compiled for the purposes of compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 and in accordance with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner’s Guide to Developing an APP Privacy Policy of May 2014.

This Privacy Policy applies both to Piney Ridge Farm and The Barn at Piney Ridge Farm (both referred to as PRF, ‘we’, ‘our’, ‘us’) and extends to and covers all operations and functions of all business carried out thereon.
The Purpose of Collection
For the most part, the primary purpose of collecting personal and financial information will be for use in connection with the booking of accommodation or participation in craft or jewellery class workshop experiences at The Barn.
We collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information for the following purposes:

- To answer enquiries and provide information or advice about existing and new services
- To provide you with access to protected areas of our website (if applicable)
- To assess the performance of the website and to improve the operation of the website

- For the administrative, marketing (including direct marketing), planning, program or service development, quality control and research purposes of PRF or its service providers
- To provide your updated personal information to our contractors or service providers

- Details of the services you have received from us or which you have enquired about, together with any additional information necessary to deliver those services and to respond to your enquiries;
- Any additional information relating to you that you provide to us directly through our website or indirectly through use of our website or online presence, via customer surveys, over the telephone, email, face to face or by other means of communication with us.
The Consequences of Non-Collection
If you do not provide us with the personal information described above, some or all of the following may occur:
- We may not be able to provide the requested accommodation or services to you, either to the same standard or at all
- We may be unable to tailor the content of our website to your preferences, and your experience of our website may not be as enjoyable or useful
How Do We Collect Your Personal Information?
We collect your personal information directly from the information you provide to us.
When collecting personal information from you, we may collect in ways including:
- Through your access and use of our website
- During conversations between you and our representatives
- When you make a payment
- When you contact us to enquire about our services
How Is Your Information Stored?
Any computer infrastructure in which your information is entered, stored or processed is located within the Commonwealth of Australia.
Storage Of Other Data
It is possible that we, or our subcontractors, will utilise cloud technology in connection with the storage of your personal information, and it is possible that this may result in off-shore storage. It is not practicable for us to specify in advance which country will have jurisdiction over such off-shore activities. All of our subcontractors, however, are required to comply with the Privacy Act in relation to the transfer or storage of personal information overseas.
How Long Do We Keep Your Data?
We do not keep personal data for any longer than is necessary in light of the purpose or purposes for which that personal data was originally collected, held, and processed. When personal data is no longer required, all reasonable steps will be taken to erase or otherwise dispose of it without delay, however, we are required to keep certain information for audit and tax purposes in which case we do so in accordance with any limitation periods and records retention obligations that are imposed by applicable law.
We will not use or disclose personal information that we collect for any secondary purpose other than the primary purpose of collection without your consent, unless the secondary purpose is directly related to the primary purpose and you would reasonably expect us to use or disclose the information for that secondary purpose.
Your personal information will not be shared, sold, rented or disclosed other than as described in this Privacy Policy.
Data Security
We will take reasonable steps to protect the personal information which we hold from misuse or loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We will destroy personal information once we no longer require it for our business purposes.

PRF is committed to maintaining accurate, timely, relevant and appropriate information about our customers, clients and web-site users.
So long as your request for your personal information is in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles, then we will give you access to that information.
Inaccurate information will be corrected upon receiving advice to this effect from you. To ensure confidentiality, details of your personal information will be passed on to you only if we are satisfied that the information relates to you.
If we refuse to provide you with access or correct the personal information held about you by us, then we will provide reasons for such refusal.
We will take such steps as are reasonable to ensure that the personal information which we collect remains accurate, up to date and complete. As our client you have the right to request access to and correction of your personal information held by us. Please contact us on the details below if you:

Making A Complaint
You also have the right to query or make a complaint if you believe that we have breached our obligations under the APPs or an applicable code. In that event, please contact us and we will endeavour to resolve it for you. If your complaint is not satisfactorily resolved, you may apply to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) to have the complaint heard and determined.
